Steve Blum is an American voice actor of anime, animation and video games who has provided the voice for Spike Spiegel in the English dub of Cowboy Bebop. He is known for his distinctive deep voice.

- He and Wendee Lee (English voice of Faye Valentine) have worked together on other English Dubbed anime, such as X, Wild Arms: Twilight Venom, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, The Big O, and The animated series Megas XLR. They also worked with Melissa Fahn (English voice of Edward) on Mahoromatic and the Digimon series, and Daran Norris on Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex.
- He is married to Mary Elizabeth Mcglynn (English voice of Julia), and they have also worked together on other animation series such as Star Wars Rebels.
- He and Beau Billingslea (English voice of Jet Black) have worked together on the Digimon series, Wolf's Rain, and Megas XLR
- He was awarded the Guinness World Record for being the most prolific video game voice actor in 2012, with roles in franchises such as God of War, Call of Duty, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Naruto, X-Men and Transformers.
- In order for him to portray Spike, he used Film Noir Imagery.
- The scenes that he found difficult were ones with Spike being portrayed as vulnerable.
- Blum admitted he didn't completely understand Spike's character for quite some time, saying, "Oddly enough, it took me going through the entire series and doing the movie before I really figured it out who Spike was as a character."[1]
